CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

Sunday School Every Sunday @ 10am
REGISTER YOUR CHILD NOW

Promises are made to every child at baptism: to support their parents in raising them in the faith so they may come to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ.

Sunday School (K-6) Every Sunday @ 10am

At WPC, we help provide families with the tools for a spiritual and biblical foundation as they guide their children in a life-long journey of faith.

  • Children join their families in worship until they are dismissed following the scripture reading.
  • Sunday School is dismissed at 11am.
  • Children remain in worship on the First Sunday of each month, serving as scripture readers, prayer leaders, greeters, and ushers. All children are welcome to receive Holy Communion together with their families.

Feasting on the Word Curriculum

We use Feasting on the Word curriculum in our Sunday school program. We follow a 3-year lectionary cycle of scripture readings in Sunday worship. Feasting on the Word follows the same cycle of readings. This means that everyone hears the same scripture readings on Sunday mornings ... adults and children! The sermon is based on these readings, as well as the Sunday school curriculum.
I love Sunday school because we get to do arts and crafts.

I love Sunday school because we are creating life bonding memories.

Children's Music

Several times throughout the month, our Music Director leads music with the children in Sunday School. On many First Sundays, the children sing what they have learned in worship.
The Sunday School children perform "Jesus, Name Above All Names" during our Advent Music Morning on Sunday, December 19.
The Sunday School children perform "Jesus in the Morning" for the Call to Worship on October 16.
