In our worship life, music serves as a profound form of spiritual expression that enhances our experience of the living, loving Word of God revealed in Jesus Christ. Worshipful music communicates deep truths, awakens us to God’s presence, draws us together, and moves us to respond.
Our most authentic offering of music in worship is that which pours forth from the gifts and passions within our community. Therefore, we believe in a culture of music that is inclusive of people of all ages and abilities. Our church is blessed with gifted singers, instrumentalists, composers, and dancers, presenting us with opportunities for unique, creative, and evocative worship.
Chancel Choir (On break for the summer)
The Chancel Choir is a vital part of our worship each Sunday. The music we sing reflects both the vastness of God and the diversity of God's people, encompassing many styles from all around the globe. From Bach to Gospel, our choir members enjoy singing a variety of music as we lead our community's sung prayer each week through anthems, psalms, responses, and hymns.
The choir is open to all singers.
Instrumentalists
Instrumentalists support the singing of the choir and congregation, as well as providing preludes and offertories from time to time. Instrumentalists should be playing at an intermediate level and have the ability to sight read easily.
Children's Music
Twice a month, our Director of Music works with the Sunday school children on music that they will sing in worship periodically.
