The Core of WPC

Mission isn't just something we do at Winnetka Presbyterian Church; it's at the core of who we are. Members of WPC have a passion for service projects, mission trips, and finding other ways to share the love of God with our neighbors around the world. To that end, we have a very active mission life at WPC, and invite you to be a part of it.

Below are a few the organizations we partner with in our local area to provide for our brothers and sisters in need.

A Just Harvest

A Just Harvest’s mission is to fight poverty and hunger in the Rogers Park and greater Chicago community by providing nutritious meals daily while cultivating community and economic development and organizing across racial, cultural and socioeconomic lines in order to create a more just society.

Items Needed for A Just Harvest
Food items may be dropped off in the box outside the church door. Items needed include: Juice boxes or 5.5 Oz Cans; 8 Oz bottled water; Canned Goods – soup, chili, veggies, vegetarian beans; dry goods – beans, pasta; cleaning supplies – Clorox, wipes, Lysol.

Good News Partners

Good News Partners is located in the North of Howard neighborhood of Rogers Park in Chicago. Their mission is to end homelessness and hopelessness with everyone God brings to them – to foster justice, and build bridges of reconciliation. Their vision is to elevate those who are in need, and those who are without hope to God’s standards through dignified housing.

C24/7

C24/7 is a non-profit organization dedicated, through the power of Jesus Christ, to improving the lives of children and young adults in the North of Howard neighborhood by providing the necessary tools, security and environment for them to thrive economically, socially and spiritually. ​

Family Promise

Family Promise helps families with children in homeless situations return quickly to permanent housing. They provide shelter, meals, job search assistance and other support for families, while working to address the root causes of their homelessness.
