ELDERS (Members of Session): 3-year term
Elders have the gift of leadership and nurture the faith of the congregation
PASTOR NOMINATING COMMITTEE
Members have the gift of discernment and credibility
2027 CHURCH NOMINATING COMMITTEE: 1-year term
Members have the gift of discernment
Deacons have the gift of service and a heart for people in need
- Check-in with members who are homebound or sick
- Help find rides to worship for people who need them
- Make coffee for Coffee Hour and help with fellowship
- Send Thanksgiving and Easter cards to members in their Caring Circle
- Serve communion
- Assist during memorial services and funerals
- Plan Welcome Home Sunday lunch and the Easter Reception
ELDERS (Members of Session): 3-year term
Elders have the gift of leadership and nurture the faith of the congregation
- Promote the welfare of this congregation
- Lead in governance, stewardship, and financial management
- Serve communion
- Equip members for service in the church and the world
PASTOR NOMINATING COMMITTEE
Members have the gift of discernment and credibility
- Get a job done well
- Diverse group that represents the whole congregation
- Create Pastor job description
- Meet weekly to review resumes and sermons
- Interview candidates
- Select and nominate our next pastor
