WPC Youth Leading in Mission
WPC believes supporting youth-aged kids (6th – 12th grades) in their spiritual exploration, wrestling, and discernment is crucial to their development, and so doing blesses and inspires the entire community. Gathering middle and high schoolers in a safe and fun spiritual community together offers something important and meaningful: a loving and caring place to think about God, wrestle with the challenge of faith, lean on voices of wisdom, and discover purpose in the community and world.
WPC believes that young people are not only the future of the church, they are the church now! Our youth-aged kids help lead the whole congregation in worship, service to the community, and having fun together. Below are the regular opportunities to engage in youth ministry at WPC.

F Family Promise – though we cannot house families at this time, we can still provide the meals (monetary donations) they need during our scheduled week. Riley, Ellison, Christina, and Charlie are collecting supplies for families that have graduated from Family Promise but are currently struggling to pay for both food and rent.
Dear WPC Members & Friends,
We are so excited to be writing to you about the project that we started. Our names are Ellison, Christina, Charlie, and Riley. All of us came together because we knew that we needed to take action to help others in our community during such difficult times in our world. We decided to start a food drive and raise much-needed funds for Family Promise. The Family Promise organization has been close to our hearts for many years and we knew we could do more to help. So far, we have set up a Go Fund Me and have raised $2,150! Please click on the link below to help!
Half of the money we raise will go to support the Family Promise organization directly to be used at their discretion. The other half will be used to purchase groceries and other essentials for families currently in the program along with Family Promise alumni who are struggling financially right now. The four of us will purchase the food items and drop them off at the Family Promise office in Evanston.
We want to make this process as easy as possible for anyone who is interested in helping out because we know there is a lot going on right now. That being said, if you are at the grocery store and are able to buy an extra item or two, feel free to email the church and we will come to pick items up from your home. Below is a link to our Go Fund Me, and a complete list of needed items. We know these families would value any donation or contribution, no matter how small. Thank you!

C24/7 Rogers Park
After School Program
Hey Church Family, it’s Conrad, from the Youth Program. I wanted to thank you all again for your past contributions to C24/7, the Rogers Park after school program that I have been working with. The take-home weekend bags were a huge success, feeding over 30 kids per weekend. Unfortunately, due to the current global situation, this program has been put on temporary hold. C24/7, however, still needs our support. There will be a bin outside the church where you can drop off any supplies. You can also go to their website and donate financially if that is more convenient.
Your support is helping provide a free weekly store for families to pick up household goods and groceries, as well as families who lost a job or income and need help with bills and rent during this time. The following is a list of their needs: Paper Towels, Dish Soap, Body Soap, Toothpaste, Diapers, Baby Wipes, Laundry Detergent, Cooking Oil, Cereal.
