WPC is a partner and host congregation in the local Family Promise network, an interfaith coalition of religious communities to support homeless families with children in the north shore.

As you know, many families on the north shore and everywhere are losing their livelihoods and their homes, creating a dangerous instability in the lives of many area children.  

Family Promise combats homelessness for families and school-age children by providing shelter, food, hospitality, and social work help.

Host Congregations provide overnight lodging at the church, meals, and hospitality for up to 3 families,  1 week at a time, 3 to 4 weeks per year.

Church volunteers set up beds, cook meals with the guest families, socialize with guest parents and children, and stay overnight.  This is a wonderful opportunity for an entire family to do good and meet great people!
