Caring for One Another: How You Can Help
How You Can Help
Our commitment to reflecting God’s love and care for those in need and remaining connected while apart depends on all of us. We are brothers and sisters in Christ in the priesthood of all believers (John Calvin). How can you help?
Reach out via phone, email, skype, FaceTime, and Zoom to friends, family, neighbors, and those you know who might be feeling isolated. We miss seeing your faces and listening to your voices. We would love to hear from you. Please don’t hesitate to call Paul at the church, an elder, deacon, or Stephen Minister in order to connect.
If you have a prayer request, please contact Paul, any member of our Pastoral Care Team: David Holly, Linda Black, Debbie Sanders, Ward Wilson, or Susan Langan, or any elder or deacon.
Provide essential items for those in need. We continue to work with our mission partners in caring for those most vulnerable. Food items for A Just Harvest may be dropped off in the box outside the church door. Items needed include: Juice boxes or 5.5 Oz Cans; 8 Oz bottled water; Canned Goods – soup, chili, veggies, vegetarian beans; dry goods – beans, pasta; cleaning supplies – Clorox, wipes, Lysol.
Family Promise – though we cannot house families at this time, we can still provide the meals (monetary donations) they need during our scheduled week. We will keep you posted as to when we will benefit both the families and struggling area restaurants by paying them to provide the meals.
Create Face Masks for JourneyCare Hospice and Health care providers. Kits will be provided which may be picked up outside the church doors. Each kit creates twenty masks. Take as many kits as you wish and drop the masks off back outside the church doors. We will transport them to the Glenview JourneyCare Hospice and Healthcare center.
Give - WPC is offering comfort, courage, and uplifting worship in the face of uncertainty. We invite you to continue or increase your regular support, via mail, or on-line (PayPal or Venmo), to enable WPC to continue these vital ministries. Your gifts to WPC matter now more than ever! And, if you find yourself in need, please let us know. We are here to help.
