Inspiring Senior Voices on Aging
An independent effort aimed at recording and distributing the advice of skilled older adults.
Their goal now is to provide seniors in self-isolation with peer opportunities for personalized engagement and an increased sense of wellbeing.
Four films; 5-7 minutes; personal, interactive; each features a caring speaker, an 82-year-old retired Presbyterian pastor, Rev. John Buchanan, and an 82 and 77-year-old congregants.
Topics: Spiritual reflections; practical uplifting advice; guided imagery for increased calm and connection; aging-well in times of challenge.
POSITIVE SENIOR FILM FEEDBACK:
Calming… comforting… uplifting… strengthening… inspiring… encouraging… Feel like I belong… Feel more understood… hopeful.
I can’t begin to tell you how much I needed to see that film. I sobbed…… This week I had a low day and the film boosted my spirits.
Many of us are on an emotional roller coaster and this was so helpful… Being connected to someone even if a film… is still being connected.”
