Rev. David Boumgarden
Interim Senior Pastor
My work as your interim, is to help you in this transitional time between your senior leadership.
I come from a family of educators. My wife Jane is a social work professor at Benedictine University in Lisle. She will be worshipping with us when I serve you and I’m glad you’ll be able to come to know her. My oldest daughter Lindsey is an elementary school principal in Minneapolis/St. Paul. My oldest son Peter is a professor of business and management at Hope College in Michigan and my youngest son John teaches freshman/sophomore English at a private Episcopal residential school in Baltimore which serves an international population. My daughter-in-law is a labor/delivery nurse at the University of Maryland hospital and we are blessed to have our first granddaughter Helena June, born on February 29th. Ask me to show you my proud grandpa pictures!
Director of Children's Ministry
I am so pleased to be serving WPC as the new Director of Children’s Ministry. As many of you know I am very familiar with our children’s program from my years as a volunteer on the Children’s Ministry Team, and as an Elder for Children’s Ministry for two terms (6 years). As a result it’s been a smooth transition. As I assume this position one of my goals and vision for the program is building connections. I want our children to make connections with each other, our congregation, our worship, and our mission work.

Geoff Duffy is a native of the Pacific Northwest (no, it doesn’t always rain there!) and was raised in the Evangelical Free Church. In his 20’s he joined the Roman Catholic Church, and over the past twenty years, has served as the Pastoral Assistant for Liturgy and Music in several large Catholic parishes, including multi-ethnic congregations both in Seattle and on the south side of Chicago. He also spent a couple years with the Lutherans and is now enjoying his time with the Presbyterians in Winnetka! Geoff received his B.A. in Pastoral Studies from Southwestern College (KS), and a certificate in Scripture and Leadership Training from Seattle University School of Theology and Ministry. And just in case you are wondering about his musical training, he took private piano lessons for eleven years and started playing the organ in church when he was twelve.
